  1. Pop, what an inspiration you are! You were so brave to serve your country and have left behind a wonderful memory of your time there. I am so proud to tell all who will listen about the bugle that you rescued.

You welcomed me into your family from day one and always made me feel loved. I still remember the day you had me, Aaron and our friends over for dinner and to practice blackjack before our first Las Vegas trip. I don’t remember how I did that trip but I know that I’ve already won in life having known you!

Can you keep an eye on the Angels and Ducks for us from your birds eye view? Love you always and thank you for being you, Justine

  2. Hi Great Grandpa!
I was only around you a short time because I am so little but I loved you just the same as if I had been with you forever! Mom tells me wonderful funny stories about you and one day I will be able to understand who you are and how special you are to our family. Thanks for holding me and letting me sit in your lap. I’m so glad I got to meet you and love you.
I know you are in good hands.

    Love, Lauren

  3. Great Pop,
We miss you already! We had fun getting to know you these last 6 and 7 years. Our Dad says he will tell us lots of crazy stories about you from when he grew up so we will know you even more. We know you are in good hands and feeling better now. We will think of you and remember you and always love you!
    Love your great grandsons,
    Nolan & Colin

    Cats have Feelings too!

I loved to sit on the back of the sofa and watch POPS. Before he got really sick he would let me sit on his lap. When ever he was out of his chair I would sit in it to keep it warm for him. POPS was a kind and gentle soul and we in the animal kingdom can sense such soles. We are drawn to such soles.

On the night that Pops said Good Bye I knew that something was not right. The family was up and standing all around him. I just stood at the door and look cautiosly in. I was just wondering if I could give hime one of my nine lives. I guess that couldn’t happen, but I would if I could.

During these last months I spent alot of time keeping him company and I will miss him. I’ll catch a lizard for him today!!
