  1. I will share what I originally posted on Facebook…
Hands down Ed was one of my all time favourite people. I would look forward to seeing my sister Margaret and my bro-in-law Steve Munday in Palm Springs – we would usually have a get-together and the highlight of the party was spending time with Ed – I just could not leave his side – so interesting and funny. I would even call him legendary. Our condolences to you Evelyn and your family from myself and Jeanie – close your eyes and receive a big hug from us. Jeanie and I are really looking forward to seeing you in heaven Ed – we really mean it!!!

  2. I have countless memories of joyful evenings around our kitchen table with papa playing boardgames and card games and laughing together. Papa was always encouraging and faithful to make us all feel loved. An incredible grandfather and a kind and supportive father in law . We will miss him so much. This man showed me even in illness peace with God transcends understanding. Love you papa. Daria

  3. Dear Evelyn,

I always looked forward to spending time with you and Ed when I visited my sister Margaret and brother-in-law Steve in Palm Springs. Although we only knew each other briefly — you both left a deep impression on me. You were a most gracious couple together. I loved listening to Ed tell stories–as he had a rare talent for it. He was funny and made me laugh. Sometimes he would recall something in a story – quietly and with great sensitivity and passion. I appreciated him very much as did all my family who met him.

I am so sorry Evelyn to hear of Ed’s passing. My condolences to you and your family.

    Fondly,

    Iona Marshall

  4. We had the pleasure of getting to know Ed and Evelyn through our cousin Steve and Margaret. We always had so much fun with Ed going for dinner and to the casino. Evelyn makes the best cannoli and Ed joked how he had to press out the water from the cheese all night. Our last visit with Ed was so much fun I will never forget it, we all watched “Bad Grandpa” together at Steve and Margs we laughed all the way through ,Ed looked so much like the fellow that played the Grandpa…he will always in a very good way remind us of that movie makes us smile always. We will miss not being with Ed when we visit it will not be the same.
We send our love to Evelyn and condolences to all the family..
    RIP…Ed

  5. Steve Munday says:

It was about 5 years ago that we had the privilege of meeting Ed through his lovely wife Evelyn who found us a house in Palm Springs (a great realtor by the way). From that day on our lives have been enriched through the times we spent with Ed and Evelyn. We live in Canada and we would come to Palm Springs each year and every Friday night we would go out for dinner (usually to Johnny Costa’s) and then on to the casino. We used to joke with Ed and refer to him as our driver as he always drove to our house to pick us up, to the restaurant, to the casino and then drop us home. We always knew when Ed was at the door as the doorbell would ring continuously until we opened the door. We had the same chair reserved for Ed with his snacks and a soda. Ed’s favorite game at the casino was Keno. I always knew where to find him sitting playing Keno at the no smoking bar. Ed was a great entertainer and made us laugh and laugh with all his stories. All our family and friends in Canada (and my Dad in England) loved meeting and spending time with Ed. They all send their condolences to Evelyn and the family. We love you Ed RIP buddy!
    Love
Steve & Margaret Munday, BC, Canada
