Obituary

Edmond (Ed) Victor Perrault, a big‑hearted, mischievous, loving husband, father, and pop-pop, passed away on June 30, 2026, at the age of 77 after a tenacious and brave battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was surrounded by the love that defined his life — especially that of his wife, Clayre Patricia Perrault, his wife of 41 years.

Born on August 13, 1948 — a Friday the 13th his children always joked about — in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Ed was the son of Edouard Alexandre Perreault and Marie (Mary) Marthe Leonie Bourlet, and brother to John Perrault and Elaine Sallot. His childhood was filled with walking to school in the snow (uphill, both ways), ice hockey and the kind of playful trouble that hinted at the joyful, teasing personality he carried throughout his life.

Ed and Clayre’s love story began as a long-distance romance working at SPS Technologies. They married on October 13, 1984, at the Santa Ana home of Ed’s mother, Mary and stepfather Bob. Their blended family of five — Denise (Scott McKannan) Rossi, Heather (Richard) Rodriguez, Paula (Carlos) Medecigo, Margie (Jay) Buono, and Michael (Jennifer) Roberts are the center of their lives. His grandchildren — Baker, Becca, Jenell, Mackenzie, Brandon, Kaitlin, Joe, Lily, and Jude adore him and the way he made every moment feel like an adventure.

Ed’s life was a tapestry of family, food, playful harassment, and love. His children and grandchildren carry countless memories of his generosity, humor, and devotion. His daily quirky texts, his mischievous grin, and his enormous heart will be missed beyond measure.
