IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edith Eugenia
"Teed" Ellenor
May 25, 1918 – December 25, 2024
Edith Eugenia Ellenor, Teed, passed away quietly in her home on Christmas day at the age of 106.
She was born in Greenfield New Mexico. Her parents were LeRoy Strang and Eleanor Strang. Although "Edith" was her birth name, most of the family and her friends called her "Teed". The nickname was given to her by a delivery room nurse who said "she looked like a little Teed". Although neither she or her family knew what that meant, the name stuck for the rest of her life.
Her father, a contractor, helped build the new town of San Clemente and was mayor for 7 years. She lived there through high school where she attended San Juan Capistrano High. She wrote the school's Alma Mater which is still sung today. After high school she ventured out on her own to Los Angeles where she worked for ATT, married Edward Ellenor and started her family.
She is survived by her sons Ken and Gary; grandsons Eric, David and Dwayne; granddaughter Melissa Whitefield; great-grands ons Brandon Ellenor and Theodore Edward Kyle Whitefield; and a large extended family from her four deceased sisters. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by them all.
