A TRIBUE TO DUSTIN DORN

On March 15th, 2020 Dustin Dorn passed away at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California.  He was born on January 20th, 1984.  He has lived in Mission Viejo most of his life.

Dustin Dorn is survived by his mother (Nancy Dorn), three brothers Jesse (Ashley Dorn), Todd (Bri Dorn) and Joshua (Kimberly Dorn), one nephew, Lucas Dorn – son of Josh and Kim, three nieces, Bella Dorn – daughter of Jesse and Ashley, Lilah Dorn – daughter of Todd and Bri, Emily Dorn – daughter of Jesse and Ashley.

Dustin was preceded in death by his father Larry Dorn (2012), Grandmother and Grandfather Dorn, Grandmother and Grandfather Carlsrud, along with several aunts and uncles.

He loved sports of all kinds including fishing.  He was dedicated to his family and friends.  Dustin was willing to help out when and where needed.  He was kind and generous with his time and loved his nephew and nieces as if they were his own.  Dustin was a great uncle who loved making food and special treats for his nephew and nieces.

We had a saying “Did you earn your ANGEL feather today?”  Everyday Dustin would be kind or helpful to someone and earn his angel feather.

Due to the challenges we are enduring with COVID-19, a memorial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to donate to the Red Cross with a dollar or blood donation in Dustin’s name under “A TRIBUTE TO DUSTIN DORN”.

  1. I first met Dustin when he was just 7 years old and I helped coach him in soccer and baseball. He was a natural athlete and such a nice kid. He was always very friendly, kind and fun to be around. He comes from such an amazing family starting with his parents and on to his three brothers.

It has been a long time since I last saw Dustin but I was so shocked when Josh told me of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Dorn family. Dustin was a special person who won’t be forgotten.
