Dr. Stanley Joseph Zychowski, a pediatrician and avid runner who participated in numerous ultramarathons, passed away on April 24, 2026, in Laguna Niguel, California. He was born on December 23, 1947, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy of San Clemente, California; his daughter, Marianne of Los Lunas, New Mexico; and his son, Peter of Longmont, Colorado.
He is also survived by his sister, Carol, and one granddaughter.
A small service will be held at
