Dorothy ‘Dot’ Schroeppel, nee Dressel, born in Collinsville, IL on June 29, 1921, died on September 26, 2008 in her home in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Dorothy spent most of her life in Collinsville and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was very active in the Collinsville Junior Service Club in the 1960s, and enjoyed styling hair in her basement beauty shop. She also was a hairdresser when she moved to Fountain Valley, CA. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Ella Dressel, nee Lochmann. Surviving are Harold ‘Sonny’ Schroeppel, her husband of 68 years; daughters Chris Guinan of Hot Springs, AR and Liz Schmidt of Foothill Ranch, CA; and her granddaughter, Alexa Schmidt.
