Dorothy A. Rowland (Chianelli), 91, of Trabuco Canyon, California, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2017.

Dorothy, daughter of Louis and Mary Chianelli, was born on April 14, 1925, in Pittsburgh, PA. Dorothy graduated from Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. She met and married John Rowland with whom she had five daughters. Dorothy’s nursing career spanned more than sixty years, ending at age eighty.

Dorothy is survived by five daughters: Paula, Vicki, Joanne, Cynthia and Katherine; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Helen Vasko of Pittsburgh, PA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on April 7, 2017, 7:00-9:00 p.m., at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, CA. A funeral mass will be held on April 8, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at San Francisco Solano Catholic Church in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.
