IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy Lillian
Niemynski
October 2, 1927 – July 15, 2023
Dorothy Lillian Niemynski, 95, of Mission Viejo, CA, passed away on July 15, 2023 from congestive heart failure.
Dorothy was born on October 2, 1927 to John and Lillian Wurster in West New York, New Jersey. After Dorothy graduated from high school, she started her first job as a secretary at Keuffel & Esser Co., in Hoboken, New Jersey. It was at the water fountain that she first met John Niemynski, who would soon become her husband.
Dorothy's family moved out of the city and started a chicken farm in Stone Ridge, New York. John visited Dorothy in Stone Ridge on weekends, while completing his college education in Hoboken. Four years later they set the date and were married on July 1, 1950. They went on to have three children, Janice, Jodi, and James.
John and Dorothy lived in Parsippany, New Jersey until 1975, when they moved to Fullerton, California. Once retired they enjoyed several years of golfing in Hemet before moving back to Orange County. Upon John's death in 2007, Dorothy moved into her daughter's home in Mission Viejo. Dorothy attended Mount of Olives Church with her daughter and son-in-law.
She is survived by her daughter Janice and her husband Charles and grandchildren Christopher, Amanda (Travis), and Ryan; and her daughter Jodi and her husband Raymond and grandchildren Joseph, Jennifer (Justin) and James (Aynsley); and her son James and his wife Susan and grandchildren Tracy, Tina (Alex) and John and extended family members Gwen and Owen (Emily). She is also survived by her precious great-grandchildren, her beloved cousin Doris, and loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and long-time friends. Dorothy will be joining her husband, John, in Heaven.
Mom, my mind still talks to you
My heart still looks for you
My soul knows you are at peace
