Dorothy was a very giving soul who lived life with a nurturing and caring spirit and enjoyed helping others. Her passion and dedication to family and friends were her most revered qualities. Her fun-loving attitude is best typified by the motto ?Live, Laugh, and Love? which she embraced and exemplified.

Her determination and strong will were unmistakable traits and allowed her to persevere through adversity, provide hope, and keep her positive and optimistic. She enjoyed many activities, particularly reading, cooking, traveling, and watching sports. She dedicated lots of time and energy toward making her home elegant, comfortable, and welcoming and was something she took great pride in.

  1. Lou, Shawn & Cory,
We will greatly miss Dorothy, she was a very special person. So kind, caring & thoughtful. Please accept our heart-felt condolences as you deal with such a loss.

  2. From the very first time we met you, we were impressed with your Godlike character and your gentleness. Your compassion for others is always obvious and your being involved with the orphanages is another example of the love you both shared with others. We will miss Dorothy and were so saddened by her passing. I felt as if I had lost a “soul mate”. May you feel the arms of Jesus and your friends around you as you grieve the loss of your precious Dorothy. Our prayers are for you and your boys and other family members. Lovingly, Roger and Jan Lang

  3. Lou,
My deepest sympathy for your loss. I wish you strength during this difficult time.

    Mike

  4. In Dorothy’s death, we reflect upon her life; she brought so much joy to others … although death extinguished a light in our lives, we celebrate the life that Dorothy led and the legacy she leaves behind.
Lou, Cory, and Sean, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will miss Dorothy greatly.

  5. Dear Lou – Mary and I are in a complete state of shock. We had no idea that Dorothy had had serious heart issues. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your two boys. Having had open heart surgery, I can at least appreciate the seriousness of such an operation.

If there is EVER anything that we can do for you and/or your two boys, please let us know.

We will continue to pray for you and Dorothy as we attend daily mass here on the Island.
