  1. To the family of June: I am so sorry for your loss. I taught with June at Euclid Elementary. She was a lovely woman with a great sense of humor. Since she taught kindergarden I didn’t see her daily, but she certainly was fun when we passed each other on the playground or sat near each other in a faculty meeting. I wish we at Euclid had known where she lived. I just assumed she still lived in Del Mar. Anyway, my sincere sympathy. I will pass your mother’s passing to as many people as I can. I am still at Euclid and many still work there that know your mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I consider my life blessed for knowing her and working with her at Euclid.

  2. To June’s Family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I worked with June at Euclid Elementary, and I always enjoyed her sunny, bubbly personality.

I am so sorry to hear about June’s passing. I taught with her at Euclid Elementary School for several years. We had many good conversations about our families during our lunch times together. She was always so proud of her two sons. She beamed when she spoke of them.

I was a resource specialist and was able to visit and observe in classrooms on several occasions. June’s class was always filled with happy kids, a reflection upon June’s love of teaching, especially to children who really needed her. She once told me that she loved teaching so much that she would do it for free! Now that’s dedication!

I am walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk for breast cancer November 10-12. I will be honored to walk in memory of June Hinton.

May your many wonderful memories fill the emptiness you are experiencing in your heart right now. Time will ease your pain.

    Sincerely,
    Judy Sweet
