Donna Mae Godknecht Toomey died at her home in Corona Del Mar, Ca. on July 31, 2004. Donna passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her seven 7 children; Michael, Patrick Christine, Sean, Daniel, Laura and Kelly. Her grandchildren; Michael Natasha, Shauna, Brent, Josh, Tiesha, Kelsy, Patrick, Chriatian, Alex, Brieanna, Jacob and Spencer; Her great-grandchild Atumn; Her son-in-laws Dave and Frank and Her daughters-in-laws; Cathy, Deb and Denise.
Donna is remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmotherand caring sister, as well as contributing to many other's lives.
Donna was born in Roberts, Wisconsin on August 22, 1928. She attended college in Minnesota where she studied bookkeeping. She was married to William Godknecht in September of 1951 and shortly thereafter, they began raising their family.
Widowed in 1982, Donna spent her time gardening, raising her younger children and traveling. She enjoyed cooking but not cleaning up the dishes. But her true passion in life was following in Jesus' footsteps and imparting to her children and grandchildren as well as many others the awe and wonder of a faithful God. One of her favorite sayings was, and still is, 'Praise your Father.'
She will be greatly missed.
