  1. Kim Hallas says:

Donna was one of my best friends. We met years ago when we both worked at Coldwell Banker Relocation together. We always supported each other through the difficult times of our lives. We did this by finding the humor and irony in any situation, laughter heals – and by taking trips to Cancun, dancing and drinking lots of wine.

She and I spoke in great detail in November but she said she was doing well. She didn’t want to share her burden any more than she had to – that’s the kind of woman she was.

The world, my world, was a better place when she was in it. I am so sad that she is gone; yet, glad to know that now we all have her on the other side watching out for us. There will be no more suffering or pain for her – only love.

My prayers and love are sent to Conner, Kurt & Jennifer. I am so sorry for your loss.

  2. Donna was a great friend. I knew her from working in relocation at AT&T in NJ as she was our contact at Coldwell Banker in CT. We remained in contact over the years. She was so kind when my mother passed away. I went to her wedding. We often spoke on the telephone. She was so proud of her son and she sent me pictures of him. I spoke with her the end of November a couple of times. She gave no indication of any problems beyond simple procedures that needed to be taken care of and seemed upbeat. If she knew something she was not telling me that just shows her strength in the face of adversity. Because of this I was stunned when I received the news on Monday of her passing. She thanked me for praying for her. I will truly miss her and hold things she sent me dear.

  3. Donna and I also met at Coldwell Banker Relocation about 16 years ago. My first memory of her was working as an admin with John Heithouse, who hired me in the East region. Donna was always a kind and social person who loved to get the most out of life. She never focused on the bad things but always searched for the good in people. Before long, Donna and I were both working as “Home Marketers” together…”Best Start Specialists”.

Donna was an adventurist and she cherished all her friendships. I, too, was at her wedding. Once she married and moved to CA, I only got to see her when one of us was traveling to the opposite coast.

We called each other from time to time just to catch up. My favorite was each year when she would call me on my birthday and wish me a happy birthday “from a fellow Saggittarian”. I still have one of those messages on my home phone and have no intensions of erasing it.

Donna will be sorely missed. I don’t really think any of us can really believe that this has actually happened. I don’t know anyone who believed that Donna wouldn’t survive this. I was thinking about making plans to come out to So CA to visit her after the New Year. I am very sorry I couldn’t make it sooner.

I love you, Donna. I know that you are there with another dear friend of ours who went before us. I know both of you are enjoying catching up and I look forward to seeing you when my time comes.

  4. Donna was a very special and wonderful friend to our family. We will miss her terribly.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Connor, Kevin, Ray and Donna’s family as they work through this difficult time.

    Rest in peace, Donna.

    Love,
    The Jarus’
