Donald Wyman June 27, 1924 to December 31, 2023

 

Donald G Wyman died peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 99.  He was born June 27, 1924, in Hartford, Connecticut.  He is survived by his daughters, Donna Goldsworthy and Joyce (Gregory) Cross, and five grandsons, Gary Goldsworthy, Jacob Wyman, Bryan Wyman, Ryan (Pam) Cross, and Donald Cross. Along with two great-granddaughters, Tara Cross and Emily Cross.

Donald served in the Army under Patton during WWII. Upon his return, he married Florence, and they headed to California to start their new life together. Donald worked for Hughes Aircraft for 35 years. Upon his retirement, he worked for St John Neumann. Caring about the welfare of others, he organized blood drives and volunteers to drive people to medical appointments. He also volunteered with the Red Cross as emergency help and collected blood from blood drives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lillian Wyman, wife Florence (Patenaude) Wyman, and son Glenn Wyman.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 27th, 2024, at St. John Neumann’s Catholic Church, 5101 Alton Pkwy, Irvine, CA 92604, at 10:00 AM—interment at Good Shepherd, 8301 Talbot Ave Huntington Beach, CA 92646 to follow.

His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who have known him.
