Donald Edward Brown
June 29, 1947 – February 8, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce that our dad Donald Edward Brown passed away at the age of 77 in Dana Point, California. A devoted father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many, Don lived a passionate life, leaving behind a lasting impact of love, laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories.

Born in Eugene, Oregon, and raised in Antioch, CA, Don was a talented athlete throughout his high school and college years. He played college football for both Brigham Young University (BYU) and San Jose State University. Don’s charm and competitive spirit led him to a career in sales, most notably the STP Corp., Stroh Brewery, and most recently the auto sales industry.

Beyond his career, Don led an active life as an outdoorsman growing up on the delta boating and fishing. As an adult, he loved camping and four wheeling in the Colorado mountains and golfing in southern California. He was an avid reader and history buff, challenging anyone to a game of Jeopardy! He had a deep appreciation for music, movies, and cooking. He was always eager to share stories and his grandkids were excited to have special time with their PawPaw, which became a tradition at Salt Creek Beach.

Don’s greatest pride and joy were his children, Amber Burkett (Terry), Russell Brown (Hillary), and Ryan Brown, his grandchildren— Hudson, Ava, Adelynn, Westin, and Kenzie. Don is now eternally reunited with his youngest son, Ryan, who preceded him in death.

His charisma, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
