Diego Escamilla Lopez died January 1st 2017, in Dana Point, CA, as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic car accident. He was born April 28th, 1989 in the state of Morelos in Mexico but was a proud Orange County resident for 26 years.

He attended Dana Hills High School and Saddleback Community College and worked as a Department Manager at Walmart.

Diego is survived by his Parents Francisco and Martha Escamilla, Sisters Jessica Escamilla and Ennie Merrilees, Brother Stephen Escamilla, Grandmothers Ventura Macias and Gilberta Hernandez, and Grandfather Esteban Escamilla. He is also survived by his niece Spencer Ruiz, Fiancée Kaylee Silvani, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

Diego was an artistic soul who loved to have fun and be active. He was a great artist with an incredible imagination. He made friends everywhere he went with his contagious laughter and sense of humor. He genuinely loved his family and friends and would always be happy to lend a helping hand. He was a wonderful son and the best older brother anyone could ask for. His laugh, happy soul, and embrace will be dearly missed.
