Diane Elizabeth Schwichtenberg passed away on March 27, 2010 after a long courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born to George and Frances Nell O’Brien on July 1, 1938 in Everett, WA. Her family resided in Concrete, WA until 1948 when they moved to Seattle, WA. She graduated from Holy Rosary High School and attended Central Washington State College. She was united in marriage to Daniel Schwichtenberg in 1958. They relocated to Lubbock, TX where she attended Texas Tech and graduated with honors from their School of Nursing. In 1972 the family moved to Irvine, CA. She continued her dedication to her pediatric nursing career until illness forced her retirement.

Her passion in life was needlework and sewing. Her creations will forever be treasured by her family.

She was a loving wife, mother and cherished grandmother. She is survived by her husband Dan; sons R. J. and Stephen; granddaughters Emma Rose and Julia; two sisters, Sr. Maureen O’Brien, O.P. and Eileen Renner John; and one brother Michael Janine. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held in Sedro Woolley, WA at a later date. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
