Diane Parr Schmitt, born December 9, 1932 in Long Beach, CA passed on December 30, 2012 after a short illness. Survived by loving husband Jim, sister Denise, brother Dan, children Ed, Denise, Nancy, Marylou and Charlie, and sixteen grandchildren.

She was a loving friend to many and a tireless volunteer for her church and community organizations, most recently at the Dana Point Headlands, Ocean Institute and Crystal Cove Alliance.

Diane loved fishing, hiking, reading and walking along the harbor with the Feet Fleet. She was devoted to her grandchildren and participated in their many activities.

She will be greatly missed, but her legacy of service and love is with us forever.

A Rosary will be held at 7pm on Friday, January 4th at O'Connor Mortuary 25301 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills. Funeral Service at 1pm Saturday, January 5th at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point, with a reception to follow in Knight Hall. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Ocean Institute in Dana Point.
