Desiree McBride Marcell passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 27, 1933, in Guatemala, Desiree lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and generosity. She found great joy in gardening and dancing, but her greatest passions were caring for children and loving animals.

A devoted mother, she lovingly raised her children and later opened her home to working families by operating a daycare center for many years. She nurtured every child in her care with patience, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm, creating a safe and happy place where they could grow and thrive.

Desiree also had a deep love for animals. She cherished her beloved little dogs and generously supported numerous animal charitable organizations throughout her life. Her compassion extended to all living creatures, reflecting the gentle and caring spirit that defined who she was.

She is survived by her children, Katherine McBride, Kelley McBride, and Sean McBride; her two grandchildren; and her four great-grandchildren.

Desiree will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her compassionate heart, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and in the many lives she touched.
