Dennis E. Smith

October 12, 1935 – October 7, 2025

It is with great sadness the family of Dennis E. Smith (of Warren, MI and Ladera Ranch, CA) announces his passing away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, surrounded by family at home.

Dennis was a devout Catholic with a devotion to Mary and lived a life of service. One of his greatest joys was going for long walks, spending time with family and friends, and making others laugh.

Dennis was preceded in death by his Parents, William and Pauline, brothers, William and Kenneth, and sister Mary Dolores. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Barbara, brother Howard (Dianna), sister Patricia, children, Jeffrey and Lisa (Joseph), his treasured grandchildren, and his many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the Rosary will be Monday, October 20, 2025 from 6pm to 9pm at O'Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, CA. A funeral mass celebrating Dennis' life will be held at 11:00am on October 21, 2025 at Mission Basilica in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
