Obituary

Debbie Azalde, age 57, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 following a long illness which she courageously fought without complaint.

Debbie was born in Inglewood, CA, March 22, 1958. She is survived by her husband Carlos of 24 years and children Monica, Daniel and Christian, her father Stanley and sister Sandi.

Debbie met her husband while working in Marketing at Taco Bell. Following their wedding in 1990, Debbie decided to turn her focus towards her new family and became a full time homemaker. She immersed herself in all of the kid’s activities and volunteered extensively at their school. It was because of her dedication to being a Mom that her three children are well on their way to making their own mark in this world. Her most cherished job involved volunteering at the Serra Catholic School library, even after she no longer has any children enrolled there. She was the rock of the Azalde family, the social planner, the driver, the volunteer at church, the one that would ensure the homework had been completed and the one that ensured nobody went hungry. Thanks to her effort on the home front, Carlos was able to travel the world with his work and never have to worry, always confident that things were well at hand at home. She was always quick to help a friend in need, driving them to appointments, picking up their children and making sure no one was left behind. She helped her parents extensively tending to her ill mother and helping her father even as she was fighting her own battle. She was selfless and big hearted. She leaves behind a big void that family and friends will find difficult to fill. Help us celebrate Debbie’s life.
