IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Ann
"Debbie" Greene
March 23, 1953 – February 7, 2026
Deborah "Debbie" Greene passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2026. She was 72 years old.
Born on March 23, 1953, in California, Debbie spent her entire life in the state she loved. She built a life centered on faith, family, and quiet strength. A devout Catholic, her faith guided her daily life and was a source of comfort and strength to her and those around her.
Debbie shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Larry. Together they created a warm and loving home, first in Whittier, where they raised their family, and later in Ladera Ranch, where they have lived for the past 24 years.
She was a devoted and proud mother to her daughter, Caryn McLain and her husband Brandon, and her son, Chad Greene and his wife Ann. Debbie's greatest joy was being "Nana" to her four grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Kaitlyn, and Ryan. Being Nana was the role she cherished most, and her grandchildren brought immense happiness to her life.
Debbie was known in her community for her generous spirit and dedication to volunteering. When her children were young, she was actively involved in the PTA, Band Boosters and devoted more than 30 years to teaching Religious Education. After moving to Ladera Ranch, she continued teaching at her church and became involved in the women's group, forming lasting friendships and continuing her lifelong commitment to serving others.
Debbie was known for her warm hospitality and welcoming spirit. Her home was always open, her table always set, and her heart always ready to receive family and friends.
Debbie had many interests that brought her joy throughout her life. She was a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and rarely missed a game. She enjoyed playing fantasy football, crocheting thoughtful handmade gifts, and spending hours working on puzzles. She had a special love for pandas and found them endlessly charming. Debbie also enjoyed golfing, trying her luck at the casinos, and listening to The Beatles, whose music was always part of the soundtrack of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the families wish is for Mass intentions to be offered in Debbie's honor. Those who would still like to send flowers may arrange delivery to O'Connor Mortuary on Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills, CA by 2pm on March 5th.
Debbie will be deeply missed and forever loved.
