David John Ryan
June 29, 1940 – January 2, 2025

David John Ryan, of Mission Viejo, California, passed away on January 2nd, 2025 at the age of 84. David, the son of Josephine and Jack Ryan, was born June 29th, 1940 and was the youngest child of 2, brother to Virginia Mary. David was born in Syracuse, New York and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended St. Mary's Elementary and High School. David served in the United States Navy from 1960 – 1963.

David met his wife, Kathy, in Long Beach, California where they raised a family of 3 children, Patricia, Colleen and Tim. Fiercely independent, David started his own Telecommunications business which he proudly ran for 25 years. David had a deep love of sailing, a fondness for his Irish heritage and appreciation for music that was a constant presence throughout the house.

David is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathleen Elizabeth Ryan. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Patricia Esparza, Colleen Sagert, son, Tim Ryan; and 7 grandchildren, Christian Sagert, Brady Sagert, Bridget Sagert, Lily Esparza, Peyton Esparza, Everly Ryan and Holden Ryan. In addition to his immediate family, David was a proud Uncle to his 7 nieces and 5 nephews.
