  1. Papa, although I will miss you for some time to come, I am grateful for all the years I had you as my grandfather. To know you are free of pain and with Nana brings joy to my soul in spite of your absence.

Thank you for teaching me to be strong, tenderhearted, and generous. Thank you for your incredible humor and bringing out the child in all of us. Thank you for getting me addicted to movies, with your famous wall of recorded VHS tapes.

Thank you for letting me watch Gremlins even though mom didn’t want me to; it is one of my all time favorite movies. Thank you for your joy around the holidays, it is contagious and I now pass it on to my own family. Thank you for your service to our Country, so we could all have a safer place to live.

So much of your character will continue to be passed down in your descendants. Please give Nana a hug for me and I look forward to seeing you again

  2. Dad – you will always be my hero. You served your country wholeheartedly and taught me the importance of family. You gave me so much love, kindheartedness, and guidance and made me feel that I could do anything I set my mind to because you believed in me. You taught me to have faith in God and to help my fellow man through your own example. I will miss your silliness, your quick wit, your laughter, your love, but most of all I’ll miss having you in my corner here on earth and your hugs. I find rest in knowing you’re at peace with our savior and once again dancing with mom in heaven. I love you dad.

    Papa,
You are the best Grandpa I could have ever asked for. There are so many things I will miss about you like your humor, your strong hugs, your scent, the compliments you gave, and how much you truly loved and cared about us. I wouldn’t have been able to keep up with the styles of the early 90’s without your impeccable taste in clothing and the outfits you picked out for me. I loved them all. I remember how magical it was to watch you and Nana dance together so effortlessly and see how much you adored one another. You have left behind a lifetime of wonderful stories we will continue to share and laugh about often. You cried out to the Lord and He heard your cry. How amazing it must be to worship the Lord and sit at His feet. I love you Papa. Until we meet again.
    Your loving Granddaughter,
    Jess

    Grandpa,
You were an amazing person and will be missed deeply. I will always remember our talks and the wisdom you shared about your military experiences and I felt as though I could share any of mine with you. I love you so much grandpa and you will not be forgotten.
    -David (grandson)

Dave you have been a great brother-in-law. I will always miss you so very much. You are now in heaven dancing up a storm with my sister Marge. You were both so great together. Thanks for being part of my family. Love you always Mary!
