Obituary

David ‘Dave’ Mark Kuri
1943-2009

With a heavy heart and great sadness we mourn the loss of Dave Kuri. Dave passed away on April 18, 2009 from kidney failure. He was 65. He was survived by his loving wife Sharon of 44 years, 3 daughters, Michele, Janiece, & Shawna, son-in-laws, Jon & Marc, 6 grandchildren, and 3 brothers. Dave has endured a tremendous amount of challenges this past year after suffering a massive heart attack and stroke in Feb. 2008. After many recent setbacks, he became very weak, and proved to show that it was his time to be with God.

Dave Kuri was a highly respected man who worked at Ralphs Grocery Company for 36 years. He started as a box boy when he was 16 years old, and worked his way up to Group Vice President. He was a great mentor to many, and was always willing to help family and friends.

In Dave’s pastime he enjoyed playing golf and watching movies. He loved the Bruins, and the Lakers. His biggest mentor and the man he looked up to the most in life was coach John Wooden.

Dave Kuri was the strongest, kindest, sweetest man who loved his family more than anything. He was the best father to his three girls, and the most loving and supportive husband to his wife.

May you rest in peace Dave for eternity in Heaven.
