Maher, David Michael, age 75, went to be with our Lord on 7/18/11 in Mission Viejo.

David was born on 11/9/35 in Toledo, Ohio to Don and Mary Maher and moved to California when he was 11. He joined the Navy as a teenager and met his future wife, Jane at Marquette University where they both attended. He retired from the Navy as an Officer after 20 years of service and spent many years working in the Public Defenders Office for the County of Orange.

David was a loving Husband, Father and Poppy. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman spending many hours fishing in mountain lakes and streams. He also enjoyed singing and was in the Saddleback College Master Chorale for many years.

David is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jane; 3 children, Kathy, David Heather and Gina Ken; 4 grandchildren, Sheryl, Ryan, Jonathan and McKenna; 1 great-grandchild, Shane; and his brothers, Donald and Daniel, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at O'Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills on 7/29/11.
