In memory of our dear father, David Bruce Kurrle, who passed away on November 20, 2025, in Mission Viejo, California.

He was born on February 3, 1945, in Seattle, Washington, the son of Bruce Kurrle and Jane Kingsbury. He spent most of his formative years in Compton, California.

Dave had a passion for running and was a four-time All-American hurdler and sprinter at Long Beach State and carried his love of running into his later years. He worked as a high school science teacher and coach for over 45 years and was known for his ability to touch lives through his dedication, humor, and mentorship. He was inducted into the Laguna Hills High School (LHHS) Hall of Fame and is the only LHHS coach to ever be inducted into the CIF-Southern Section Hall of Fame.

Outside of work, he enjoyed playing guitar, trips to Catalina, fishing, practical jokes, and enjoying the quirky humor he passed on to his grandkids.

Dave is survived by his stepmom Virginia, brother Jeff (Nancy), sister Chrissy, sister Cindy (John), daughter Jen (Matt), son Mike (Nadia), and six grandchildren: Noah, Isaac, Elsa, Weston, Bennett, and Madison.

He lived a life marked by faith, one-of-kind humor, generosity, service, and perseverance. Dave will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
