Obituary
David “Dave” Jose Tuccio, 75, of Irvine, California, beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2014. He was born on September 3, 1938 in Lima, Peru to David and Abigail Tuccio. Dave grew up in Lima, Peru and graduated from Colegio Nacional Sepulveda, where he enjoyed playing sports and especially soccer. In a desire to be closer to some of his family, Dave moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1964. Immediately after moving, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served in the Vietnam War and earned a Purple Heart. Dave became a U.S. Citizen in 1996.
Dave was passionate about his family, friends and business. He had a distinguished and enjoyable career leading contract manufacturing company, Daveco International. He also enjoyed travelling, fishing and watching off-road racing. Dave built his life around his family and friends and his kindness and generosity will be greatly missed.
Dave is survived by his wife Sandy Tuccio, daughter Lisa Tuccio King, son Anthony Tuccio, grand-sons Michael and Austin King, sisters Delia Stewart, Julia Andera, Gladys Vallejo, Carmen Tuccio and Gloria Slightam and brothers Alex Tuccio and Jose Ignacio Tuccio and many other friends and family.
A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held on Friday, June 20 at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 2046 Mar Vista Dr. in Newport Beach, CA 92660, 10:00 am. Flowers can be sent to O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, CA.
