  2. I knew David in my childhood in Butte and saddened to see him taken far to early from all his loved ones. David and the entire Burns family will always hold a special place in our hearts.

  3. To all the Burnses,

My sincerest sympathy to you and my congratulations to Dave at his birth into eternal life. He was my student and friend at Butte Central. He was also often my most persistent competitor at some long-lasting tennis games that sometimes went beyond sunset, but were simply moved to other courts with lights. Although, I haven’t seen Dave in nearly thirty years, the impression he made then was indelible and I will never forget him. His wit and humor, his friendliness and genuiness still bring a smile to my lips. He comes from a unique and wonderful home of Burnses, each with a special and appealing charm. He is now enjoying the home for which he was made. May his loving God have opened wide his arms to receive our beloved Dave in His loving embrace!

  5. Sorry about your loss. Dave was a classmate and good friend. Although I have only seen him infrequently the last 30 years, I cherish the times I did, sharing tales and laughs. Dave was a special guy with a lot of talents and a love of life. I am fortunate enough to have stayed in Butte and still see a dozen or so classmates regularly. We have an annual camping trip where we reminisce about the “good old days”. Dave’s name comes up regularly. We will toast a cold one and say a prayer for his new journey. We are truly saddened by your loss. He must have been a wonderful father and husband. I hope someday to meet your children, so I can again experience the joy that was Dave. Sincerely, Mike “Beetle” Bartoletti
