David Allen Champeau, 60, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2007. He fought an amazingly long and heroic battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Born and raised in Escanaba, Michigan, he moved his family to Southern California in 1981. A machinist by trade, he enjoyed Angels baseball, cooking, fishing, the outdoors and spending time with his family. David is survived by his loving wife, Darlene, and proud daughters Jennifer Rob Heslar and Lisa Joel Wittenberg. He was an amazing grandfather to Cole, Tommy, Tressa and Andy – who will greatly miss their ?Bampa?. David leaves his siblings Bonnie Champeau, Steve Marylou Champeau and Ken Champeau of Escanaba, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Champeau. David also leaves behind many extended family members and friends in Southern California and Michigan. We will all miss his great sense of humor and passion for warm beer!
