   I needed a 4th for golf tee time, and Cyrus said that David was always up for golf and sure enough he was there. Great person to play with when you’re having a bad golf day.

   So sorry to just recently hear of the passing of Dave. As life goes, we
   loose touch with many of our friends…unfortunately, Dave was one I lost
   touch with. Mark Shriver, another friend from Ball State, let me know of Dave’s
   passing. I was Dave’s first roommate at Ball State. We were put together
   probably because we were both transfers and probably because we both
   were Catholic. Dave was a great guy, a good roommate, a lot of fun, a hard
   working student (always doing those late nights of architecture student work),
   and like me in the busy college scene tried to go as often as possible to
   the campus Catholic service. I once visited him in Connecticut around the
   end of my Ball State days. He worked hard and played hard…loved life. I am
   happy to hear he carried on with that into adulthood. The grin on his face that
   is on the picture posted here is one I remember well. Dave would talk about
   having “Eastern Flare”…Mark would come back with we had “Midwestern Suave”
   No matter…we all did what college students should do…studied and made lots
   of good memories together. One of the benefits of being Dave’s roommate was
   getting dibs on the fantastic chocolate chip cookies his Mom would send…they
   were the best I ever had.
   He is missed…my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
