  1. Maria, my best and dear friend. Your husband, David was the only man that I have ever met that truly knew how to show and give the kind of love every man should show and give to his beloved wife. I am so very glad to have had the chance to help David in planning your surprise birthday party last year. He so endearingly, lovingly wanted it to be a surprise and a special evening for you to share with him and your friends. I knew that he loved you so very much and that he generously wanted to lavish over you whatever he could to make you happy. His heart will remain yours and his sweet memories will permeate your life forever. In this, know that his loving spirt surrounds you always.I will be glad to help you get through the days ahead in whatever way I can. All your friends and family will be there for you because you are a very warm and wonderful person and a loving wife to David for all of 39 years. God bless you and your family, brother John and all of David’s relatives. I will keep all of you in my prayers always!
    Love, Jamie

Marie and family, I served on the USS LIBERTY and worked in the same spaces with David. He was a good man, good worker and during the attack on our ship he, like the rest of the LIBERTY crew, was a true American hero. We of the LIBERTY offer our condolences and support in any needs you may have.

With great respect to David’s family and in honor of my shipmate David, my prayers are with you.

  5. Dear Maria, Ron and I have so many fond memories of Dave. We spent an evening thinking back on how Dave touched our lives and we both agreed that he knew how to make people smile. We loved how he expressed his passion whether it be for golf, the Celtics or his beloved bunnies. I will always think of him when I use my eight iron as it was him that taught me how to use it to flick the ball onto the green. He was always full of tips and sincerely wanted to help. Our thoughts are with you and your family. Love, Ron and Monica Field
