   My Mother, Lois Ginley Hopkins and her parents, Dr Frank and Gertrude Ginley of Dunmore, Pa were very close friends of Dr Berney’s parents. Rosa Berney was actually my grandmothers friend from grade school. I have found letters that they sent to each other over the years. I remember my parents and grandparents speaking of how proud they were of the many accomplishments of Dr Berney and him moving to California from Scranton.
   When my sister graduated from Medical School in Pomona California in 1985, before the internet my Mother was so wanting to find Dr Berney while she was there to say hello, but didn’t know where to look. The last address she had was on Stewart Ave in Los Angeles, and she knew he had long moved away.
   My Mother passed away 2 years ago, but I know she would want me to send our families condolences to you on the loss of your Husband and Dad. From what I heard, he was a very special person. Your loss is great, and I am so sorry. We will pray for him and all of you in this difficult time.
