Obituary

Dane Michael Stewart was born on May 2nd, 1990 in Mission Viejo, California. He spent his childhood in Rancho Santa Margarita, playing football, working with the Boy Scouts, serving in food kitchens and helping the homeless. He is survived by his mother, Rhonda, and father, Dana. Following high school, he attended Santiago Canyon College, then transferring and graduating from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a degree in History. Dane developed a deep interest in history and comparative religions while at LMU, making a trip to Israel to visit both historical Jewish and Christian landmarks. Having accepted Christ as the redeemer of all he had a fondness for Israel and the Jewish people.

He has traveled to Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the Middle East. He loved animals and cared for animal welfare. He left three sad pets, his cats Augustus and Agatha, and his faithful golden lab Ajax.

Dane was a well-read, bright, kind and loving person, with a depth of thought on many issues. At 6’5″, his stature was large and his intellect deep. Now that he is gone, his physical presence and mental acuity are a loss that will be felt by those who truly knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.
