Dale Gough passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023 at the age of 67. He was born and raised in Southern California.
In 1977, he met his wife, Katherine, at the batting cages in Fountain Valley, where they challenged each other to a “battle of the sexes.” They were married in 1979. He was a dedicated father, coaching his two sons, Matthew and Kevin, on numerous baseball teams. Later in life, after he had become a grandpa known as “Baca,” he enjoyed attending his grandsons’ baseball games, cheering them on. Coaching was Dale’s passion, and that passion has been passed down to his sons and grandsons.
Dale was a mild-mannered man, who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved baseball and was a die-hard San Francisco Giants fan; one of his fondest memories occurred in 2014 when he attended a World Series game in San Francisco with his two sons. He also loved golf, camping in the peacefulness of the forest—especially Sequoia National Park—and venturing to the river with his family, Sea-Doos in tow.
Dale was a proud and supportive husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved his family unconditionally. His passion, humor and dedication will be sorely missed.
Dale is survived by his wife, Katherine; his son Matthew and his wife Jamie; his son Kevin and his wife Sarah; his four grandsons, Jordan (Corina), Landon, William and Camden; and his great-granddaughter, Avery.
Dale’s life will be celebrated on November 11 from 11am to 1pm at Tijeras Creek Golf Club (29082 Tijeras Creek, Rancho Santa Margarita, 92688). Casual attire is requested please.
