Obituary

Dale Leonard Carpenter, born 6/7/1919 in Belleville, Kansas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 12, 2009 at 90. He moved to California after serving as a Chief Pharmacist Mate in the Navy during World War II. He continued to give service to his country and society as an R.N. and Lab Tech, college professor, aerospace engineer and research scientist.

He is survived by his sisters, Dee Rae and Evelyn Ripplinger; son, Stephen Carpenter and wife Carey; his daughter, Linda Clark and husband Tom. He also leaves 4 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. A private, family memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009.
