Obituary

Cynthia Ann Whitworth, age 58, joined her sister Karen in heaven on Friday October 18, 2013.

Cindy was born in Fullerton, California on September 3, 1955 to her parents Ruth and Gordon Montgomery. Cindy was a very strong minded and resourceful person and was well liked by everyone she met. She was always up to date on what was happening. She attended college in Kent Washington studying Physical Therapy and recently she completed a four-year bible course at her Episcopalian Church in Redondo Beach. She spent quality time raising her son Christopher, and her daughter Chelsi. She included the Montgomery name in Chris’s middle name. Cynthia often spoke of the Beattitudes. One, that would define her life. ‘Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after rightiousness: for they shall be filled.’ Matthew 5, 6. Another that she felt would apply to us, the family and friends today. ‘Blessed are they that mourn:for they shall be comforted.’ Matthew 5,4

Her son, Chris, and daughter-in-law Melissa brought into this world twins, Cody and Brianna and recently another grandson Owen was born. He is 9 weeks old. When Chelsi and Sean brought their son Grayson into the world she stayed often with them and helped her daughter with Grayson. Cindy spent most of her time for and with her gandchildren. She was a loving and devoted Mom and grandma.

Cindy has two sisters, Sue and Karen. Sue is married to Jim Toner and they have two children Shaina and Grant. Sue named her daughter Shaina Karen Toner and her son James Grant Toner, using her sisters name Karen and her dad’s middle name Grant. Sue and Cindy raised their families together. Shaina and Chelsi are very close and Grant fits right in with them. They both loved Aunt Cindy and their cousins, Cody, Brianna, Owen, and Grayson and they loved babysitting.

Cindy and Chelsi accompanied The Toner family on many trips over the years,New York, Hawaii and Florida and many closer places.

Her other sister Karen crossed ovcer in 1981 Cindy asked to be placed with her.
