  1. Dad you were one of the only 2 real men I’ve ever known in my life, I love you dearly, thank you for loving me, thank you for all the talks we had they all mean so much to me. I miss you tremendously. A big part of me is gone with you. Thank you for loving and treating my mother like the queen she is, you kept her happier than I had ever seen her. She deserved you and you deserved her. My heart is still hurting I know this is something I will never get over. My peace with this is knowing you are at the right hand of ‘GOD’ and he’s taking care of you. I LOVE YOU so much. Rest in Paradise DAD…until we meet again….hugs and kisses.

I just found this. I served under Curtis Branch when he was a Gunnery Sergeant in ’72-’73. I was a young Sergeant at the time.I didn’t quite have my professional act together yet and managed to inadvertently stay on the border of being in trouble. As dumb as I was. Gunny Branch grew me professionally. I watched him put his own career at risk standing up for me. All because it was the right thing to do. He showed me what personal integrity was when he did that. I never forgot him. As my career moved forward. He was the subject of many classes I would teach my Marines when we talked about integrity and honor. My times around the corner and coming sooner than later. I know that, I love God and I know that Marine Barracks Pearly Gates, Heaven is squared away with Sergeant Major Curtis Branch there. Semper Fi Curtis..
