In Loving Memory of Cliff Chan (1951 – 2023)

Cliff Chan, a man of unwavering determination, profound love, and entrepreneurial spirit, has left an enduring legacy that will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched. Born in the picturesque town of Taishan, China in 1951, Cliff was the cherished son of his parents Yuen and Sum, and the youngest sibling among his older brother and two sisters.

Cliff's thirst for knowledge led him to pursue higher education, and he graduated from Texas Tech University, where he majored in Political Science. It was during his time in Ohio in 1975 that he met Christine, the mother of his two children, Grand and Grace, who became the center of Cliff's world.

In pursuit of his dreams, Cliff relocated to Atlanta in 1991, where he established his residence for the majority of his life. A true entrepreneur at heart, Cliff's passion for business led him to establish Orientiques, a successful enterprise that imported exquisite home goods from his homeland of China to the United States. Through his business, Cliff not only showcased the rich cultural heritage of China but also created opportunities for others to appreciate and embrace the beauty of his homeland.

Cliff's dedication to his family was unwavering. As a devoted father, he nurtured and supported his children, imparting upon them the values of hard work, integrity, compassion, and strong Christian faith. He celebrated their successes, stood by them during challenges, and offered unwavering love and guidance every step of the way. His children, Grand and Grace, remain a testament to his love and the profound impact he had on their lives.

Beyond his professional and familial achievements, Cliff was known for his warm heart, gentle demeanor, faith in Christ and genuine care for others. His generosity knew no bounds, and he extended a helping hand to those in need, embodying the true essence of compassion and selflessness. Cliff's kind and caring nature left an indelible mark on the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In the final years of his life, Cliff made his home in Orange County, California, where he continued to inspire and uplift those around him with his friends, family and new-found church family. Despite his battle with cancer, Cliff still took the time to encourage others facing health challenges, sharing words of inspiration and scripture to drive genuine faith in Christ.

On May 25th, 2023, Cliff departed this world, leaving behind a profound void in the lives of those who loved him. His memory will forever be cherished by his children, Grand and Grace, who will carry his values and love in their hearts as they navigate their own journeys. Cliff's legacy of determination, love, and entrepreneurial spirit will continue to inspire generations to come.

Today, as we bid farewell to Cliff Chan, let us remember the light he brought into our lives and the lasting impact he made on our hearts. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his spirit guide us as we strive to live our lives with the same love, compassion, and determination that defined his remarkable journey.

Rest in eternal peace, dear Cliff Chan. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
