Clare Kathleen Feistel of Irvine, CA, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the age of 79, after a two year struggle with cancer.

Clare was born in New York City on February 10, 1931 to Carmelo and Carmela Bianchi and was the youngest of eight children. She worked for several years as an executive secretary for the Teamsters.

Clare married Walter Feistel in 1956, and they had four children: Christopher, Stephen, Darlene and Kimberly. Clare and Walt lived 24 years in Alamo, CA where she was an active member of Zion Fellowship Church. She ministered faithfully in the lay counseling department and many were blessed by her spiritual leadership. Her fun loving nature and caring disposition drew many to her and she leaves a legacy of very special memories to family and friends.

Clare is survived by her husband Walter, her four children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A viewing for Clare Feistel will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 11:00 am 12:30 pm at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills. Immediately following will be a graveside service at El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest. A memorial service and reception will follow at 2:30 pm at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest.
