It’s so true-Lorraine always exuded love for everyone. What I’m remembering right now was when she would laugh. Such freedom….

I remember when I was welcomed into the family, I was around 5 years old. Grandma Brown (Barnes) never made me or my mother feel like that wasn’t were we belonged. One thing that was clear is that family was very important and staying together. It was hard when we moved away, but she made sure she would stay in touch and always ask how we were doing. After being away for what felt like forever, I had my first son Julius and grandma held him so tight you could feel the love across the room and she wasn’t even touching you. My best memory of her is when ever I would see grandma and she would kiss me on my cheek and run her hand across my face. That feeling I got made me feel like a little girl all over again. So the last time I saw her I laid my head in her lap and she rubbed head and I just wanted to go to sleep. So when I say this, I truly believe there is a special place in Heaven for a women like that. Thank you and I love you always, Vanessa L. Hassell
