Christine Anne Corrington

Christine Anne Corrington, 44, passed away on November 21, 2021, in Laguna Niguel, CA, after a long and valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Minneapolis, MN, on November 29, 1976, Christine moved to northern California in 1988.  She graduated from Valley Christian High School in Dublin, CA in 1995, and proudly received her BSN from Sonoma State University in 2002.  Her passion for oncology nursing was in no small part fueled by her courageous struggle with Hodgkin’s disease in her late teens.  Cancer delayed her college and career plans but did not derail them.

Christine was known for her sense of humor, her sharp wit, her creative sense of fashion, and her love of travel.  Although she lived with chronic pain through much of her life, she was a winsome person and enjoyed time spent with extended family.

Christine is survived by her mother, Judy Weichel; her father, Richard Corrington, and wife Nancy Corrington; sisters and their spouses Carolyn and Christopher Kinzel, and Cathy and Eddie Wills; nieces Katrina Kinzel Hall and Courtney Kinzel; and nephews Christoph Kinzel, Trevor Wills, and Bryce Wills.

Christine’s family is especially grateful to Sea Crest Hospice, whose staff provided incredible care and comfort to Christine throughout her final days.

The family will hold a private service.  If you would like to honor Christine’s legacy, please donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on her behalf.  This was Christine’s wish, and demonstrates her passion for improving the quality of life, and finding a cure, for the tens of thousands diagnosed with blood cancer every year in the U.S.
