Cherie Russo Autin
September 14, 1942 – January 13, 2015

Cherie Russo Autin, a native of Morgan City, LA, prior resident of Metairie, LA and resident of San Juan Capistrano, California, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, January 13, 2015, at the age of 72. Cherie is survived by her two daughters, Carol Ann De Angelis and her husband Costantino De Angelis, of Laguna Beach, CA and Christina Hammond and her husband Mark Hammond, of Laguna Beach, CA, her 6 grandchildren, Alexis McElwee, Alexander Accardo, Francesca De Angelis, Romana De Angelis, Garic Toca and Brittney Toca, her 4 great grand children, Xander Accardo, Gavin Accardo, Brecken McElwee and Cambria McElwee, her 5 siblings, Ann Johnson, Lawrence J. Russo, M.D., Honorine Abel, Salvadore J. Russo Jr, and James K. Russo.

She was preceded in death by her father Salvadore J. Russo, M.D., and her mother Honorine ‘Neen’ Guerin Russo.

Cherie, was former American Airline Flight Attendant, CEO of CherCo Home Healthcare, former board member and shareholder of Abita Springs Water Company.

She was passionate about cooking and loved preparing and teaching her family all about Louisiana Cuisine.

Always remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; her beauty, her love, her cooking, her intellect, her magnetism , her wit, her advice, her loyalty, her heart and her deep belief in God.

Until we meet again in that wonderful place called Heaven. May you rest in peace.

Private family seaside memorial will be held on January 30th at 1pm in Laguna Beach, CA.
