Obituary

Charlotte Ann Kingston, 83, was born on July 3rd, 1940 in Honolulu, Hawaii and departed us peacefully with her family at her side on September 14th, 2023.  She resided in Stanton, California at the time of her passing of kidney cancer.  She is survived by four sisters, a brother, daughter, son, five grandchildren and a cat.  Charlotte worked for the telephone company her entire career.  She was a devoted wife and mother and loved all animals–especially giraffes.  During her life, she was an avid gardener, baker, and crafter.  She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, listening to Neil Diamond and was fascinated with raising butterflies toward the end.  She was a passionate supporter of animal welfare charities which was reflected by her cheerful volunteer work at the animal rescue center and the hummingbird feeder always being full in her backyard.  A devout Catholic, she attended mass regularly and enjoyed crafting rosaries for church organizations.  She had a terrific sense of humor and was always eager to lend a hand to friends and family with particular emphasis on nieces, nephews and grandchildren resulting in her being beloved by all.  She will be sorely missed by everyone who has been positively impacted by her kindness and generosity.  Arrangements are at the direction of O’ Connor Mortuary and she will be interred at Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest on September 24, 2023.  Donations in her name to the Humane Society of the United States would delight her.
