He lived life well with passion, conviction and tenacity. He loved God and served Him faithfully in Mexico, South Africa, Belize and here at home. Michael adored his family and seemed to be astounded at the growing numbers. His 40-year career in the Electrical Industry gave him life and purpose. He had a tenacious work ethic that encompassed facing all the challenges, solving problems and encouraging others to reach their full potential. He played hard especially sports and fishing, drove too fast, took risks, folded perfect laundry, gave amazing hugs, taught us how to laugh at ourselves, and loved steak and chocolate. He will be missed.

Just got word of Mike’s passing today and how very sad it was. Mike was a terrific man, one of the best I have ever known. His leadership, confidence and personality allowed myself and many others to achieve successful careers. Many people owe in part what they have today to Mike Sloan. My thoughts go out to Mike’s family and the many others he has touched.
    Godspeed Mike

Mike was my mentor and a good friend when I worked for Kirkwood Electric. You could trust Mike for advice. He will be missed. God bless him.
