  3. My condolences to all who knew Charlie,

Charlie was a great friend, and my memories working with him at Custom Maddness Metal Fabrications are a joy to look back on. I met Charlie answering to an ad for a Custom Airbrush Artist. Not only did I work for Charlie painting cars and pimped out golf carts, but I spent much of my free time with him.

I remember when he brought his sister Anne out from New York to come work at the shop. Anne, I miss your amazing food. We would hang out in the front drinking beer and eating Anne’s amazing food, waiting for paint to dry. And I remember the day Ed came to the shop to take out for the first time, ha! Charlie was really on you Ed, but it was all out of love. Charlie loved his family and would do anything for them.

I have so many fond memories with Charlie, and it saddens me to hear of his passing. Anne and Ed, I am so sorry for your loss, I know how close you were. It’s unfortunate we fell out of touch over the years, I had moved to Oregon in 2012 and lost touch. I think of you all from time to time and that is how I stumbled upon Charlie’s obituary.

Anne and Ed, every time I pass the Queen Mary, I think of you and your amazing wedding. I tried to reconnect with Charlie the last few years since I started making regular trips back to CA but could not find a way to reach him.

Charlie, I look forward to seeing you again one day my friend. You were one of a kind and I miss all the amazing times we had. Much love to all of you!

    My sincere regards,
    Lindsay Yoshiko Flora
