Charles Dougherty, 98, of Laguna Woods, died February 12, 2005 of natural causes at his home. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but had lived most of his life in Southern California. he graduated in 1928 from The University of Southern California. Charles was formerly an executive with both the Shell Oil and W.R. Grace Chemical Companies for many years. He enjoyed a rich and active life, loved to travel, and trekked the Anna Purna Mountains in Nepal while he was in his 80’s. he is survived by his cherished wife, Lallah, and seven loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity. A memorial service for family and close friends will be announced at a later date.
