Charles Maurice Bayhi, Jr.

Charlie Bayhi was born August 12, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana. His family moved to Memphis, TN and then to Lexington, KY. Charlie attended the University of Kentucky and Transylvania University. His Electrical Engineering skills were put to good use at Square D, NCR, Data Products, and MAI Basic Four before establishing his own consulting firm, CPSM. He married Mary Ann Keys in 1964 in Lexington and were blessed with daughters Anne Marie Watkins (Mark; children Kelly (Todd), Katie and Ryan), Susan McCammon (Tom; children Will and MiMi), Amy Rodriguez (Jim; children Toni, Jameson and January) and Annette. Charlie and Mary Ann (Mimi) moved to Dayton, Ohio; then Thousand Oaks, CA; finally settling in Mission Viejo, CA following wonderful job opportunities for his family. Mary Ann passed away in 1984. Charlie married Hilda Richard Dalzell in 1985. Hilda’s daughter Amy Toomey (Noah; children Mason and Savannah) gave the family their final daughter. Hilda passed away in 2013.

Charlie’s busy life in addition to his family of daughters, included volunteering. He was a Police Auxiliary (reserve) or EMT/Paramedic from 1966 until his death. Volunteering was a major part of his life. His final volunteer position was as Executive Director of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department PSR Program.

He is survived by his daughters and their families (10 grandchildren), fiancée Pamela White, brother Craig, brother in law Clyde Maggard, three nieces, and one nephew. He is preceded in death by his sister Carol Maggard.

Services will be held:

Rosary/Vigil, Thursday July 1, 7pm – 9pm at O’Connor Mortuary – 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills.

Memorial Service, Friday, July 2, 11am Holy Trinity Catholic Church – 1600 Corporate Drive, Ladera Ranch
