Obituary

Chang G. Shi, 87, was born January 3, 1930 in China and passed away on June 17, 2017 in Santa Ana, California. He was only child to Pankui Shi and Shengdi Wu. He was able to receive junior high school education during the turbulent war times in China, and he was admired by many for his quick thinking and affectionately called “Scholar Shi” by his friends. He married Jinjuan Wu in 1949 and had four daughters and two sons. He lived in US since 1992, and became a Christian in 1994. He was a business owner who worked in the Food Processing Industry for 20 years. Chang is survived by his son Frank Shi and his wife Kimberly of North Tustin, CA; daughters Xuehua Shi and Meineng Shi, both living in China; 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 at 4:00pm at O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653. Burial will take place at a later date in China. O’Connor Mortuary, Directors, (949) 581-4300, www.oconnormortuary.com.
