O'Donnell, Catherine Lucy 'Cathy'

Of Irvine, passed away June 6, 2008, with courage and grace at the age of 59. Born to Ladislaus and Kathleen Konczynin in Queens, New York on April 14, 1949, Cathy moved to Orange County in the Fall of 1978. After obtaining a Master's degree in Nursing from New York University NYU, Cathy devoted her life to helping others, as evidenced through her 35 year career in health services. She spent the majority of her career working for the Santa Ana Unified School District, serving as school nurse for several schools. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca; son, Matthew; granddaughter, Alexia; brother, William; sister-in-law, Barbara; and countless friends.

Cathy was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Viewing will be 3-5pm and 7-9pm, Wednesday June 11, at O'Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills. Mass will be held Thursday, June 12, 10:00am, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5101 Alton Parkway, Irvine.
